  15. I. Program Description

  17. Thank you for evaluating Red Dog v1.2. Red Dog, or Acey Deucy, 
  18. is a popular card game played in casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic
  19. City. This version of the program has online help to get you
  20. started, as well as an Auto Deal feature (for registered users) to run
  21. simulations - find out what the house edge is!
  22.     
  23. To run Red Dog v1.2, you will need a computer running Microsoft
  24. Windows 3.1 or later.

  28. II. Installation Instructions
  29.  
  30. If you are installing the program from a floppy disk:
  31.     1) Using the Windows Program Manager:
  32.     2) Choose File, then Run
  33.     3) Type [X]:setup, then OK 
  34.        ( X  is the drive where the floppy disk is located)
  35.  
  36. If you downloaded the file 'RDOG.ZIP' from a bulliten board:
  37.     
  38.      - Use the latest version of PKUNZIP to unzip the file 
  39.      - You will need the file VBRUN300.DLL for Red Dog to run
  40.     
  41.      1) Place RDOG.ZIP in a temporary directory and unzip it.
  42.      2) After the file is unarchived:
  43.      3) Using the Windows Program Manager:
  44.      4) Choose File, then Run
  45.      5) Type [X]\setup, then OK
  46.     (X  is the directory path where the files can be found)

  50. III. Registration Options
  51.  
  52. Thank you for evaluating Red Dog v1.2! Select Register from the
  53. menu bar to bring up a registration form. If the Register option 
  54. does not exist, just press the 'G' key while at the main screen.

  56. LVC Software will pay the sales tax for Hawaii residents.
  57.  
  58. The S & H, and Disk fee is optional. However, if you choose not to
  59. include this fee, you will be sent a registration code ONLY. It 
  60. will be assumed that you are registering the software copy already
  61. in your possession.

  63. There are two separate ways to pay for the program:

  77. tions to local charities. As an optional form of payment, you may
  78. donate the cost of registration to your favorite charity.

  80. To do this, send a photocopy of a tax receipt or canceled check,
  81. written to your favorite charity. The tax receipt or check must 
  82. meet these guidelines:

  84. - It must be dated within the last 60 days.
  85. - It must be for AT LEAST the amount of the price of the 
  86.   software desired.
  87. - The charity must be established. (i.e. United Way, etc...)

  107. IV. License Agreement and Warranty

  109. License Agreement
  110. This version of Red Dog v1.2 is shareware. Non-registered users
  111. are permitted to evaluate Red Dog v1.2 for up to 30 days. The 
  112. program must be registered within 30 days, or its use discontinued.

  114. No one may disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer the program
  115. in any way.
  116.  
  117. Distribution of Red Dog v1.2 is encouraged, provided that all of
  118. the following conditions are met:
  119.   1) It is distributed only for the trial use of others.
  120.   2) All files are intact and in their original condition.
  121.   3) If a distribution fee is charged, it must not exceed US$6.00.
  122.   4) The program's Registration Code may NOT be distributed.

  126. The following guarantee is only for registered users of 
  127. Red Dog v1.2 who have paid full price for the product, and 
  128. received the program on disk directly from LVC Software.
